#4: June Edition
Refreshed after our June break, our fabulous host Sukhjit Khalsa, introduced you to poet, philosopher and teacher Justin Clemens and spoken worder and founder of the Dirty Thirty Poetry Month, Abdul Hammoud.
Justin Clemens’ poetry books include The Mundiad (Hunter 2013) and Villain (Hunter 2009). He also writes on contemporary Australian poetry, art, and philosophy, including in Minimal Domination (Surpllus 2011) and, co-written with Dominic Pettman, Avoiding the Subject (Amsterdam UP 2004). He teaches at the University of Melbourne.
Abdul Hammoud is a spoken word, founder, editor and compiler of The Dirty Thirty and it's anthology. He teaches writing classes and workshops for schools and organizations that are looking to explore new avenues of expression.
The constant state of war in the Middle East, racial divides, as well as the portrayal of masculinity. He is also a full time student and an avid purveyor of starting books but not finishing them.
